Ah, Spring Break.  It is such a fun time of year!  Winter is coming to an end and there are enough warm days you can start to really feel spring coming on.  It is a great time of year with so many travel options.  Travelers can choose one of two ways – embrace the cold for a little while longer or head for sun and warmth.  Which ever is your preference, I have some options for you.  Spring break will be here before you know it, so don’t delay, let’s get started planning today!

My top ten list of great spring break choices (in no particular order):

1. San Diego – From Coronado to La Jolla, there is so much to offer for all ages.  San Diego is a great destination for a range of travelers from families to college coeds. Property to try: Hotel del Coronado.

2. Vancouver, BC/Whistler – Whistler is the place to be to hit the slopes – the snow there is amazing! Property to try: The Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

3. Machu Piccu – what an amazing place to see some history, doing some hiking, and have a trip full of adventure! Property to try: Belmond Sanctuary Lodge.

4. New Zealand – although a week is not enough to see the whole country, a traveler could get a taste of Kiwi life on either island and see some Fall colors in the southern hemisphere. Property to try: Wharekauhau Country Estate.

5. Las Vegas – I know, it sounds a little crazy, but here me out.  It is warm, the pools are amazing, it has killer nightlife, food and buffets a plenty, and lots of shows! Las Vegas would be a great spring break destination.  Property to try: Bellagio.

6. Key West – Key Lime pie, Conch tour train, Jimmy Buffett, Ernest Hemingway, and sunsets! I am ready to pack my bags and go tomorrow!Property to try: Sunset Key Guest Cottages.

7. Belize – Belize is so easy to access from the United States, without the amount of tourists as other resort areas nearby.  Property to try: Turtle Inn.

8. Park City, Utah – Park City has really evolved as a fabulous ski destination.  They get a ton of snow, have great access to the Salt Lake City airport, and even the Olympics where there! Property to try: Montage Deer Valley.

9. New York City – Ah, NYC! So much to do for all ages.  With New York, you could have spring or winter weather for spring break, so be prepared to handle what Mother Nature throws your way!  Between museums, Broadway shows, Central Park, Coney Island to name a few, there is plenty to do regardless of the temperature. Property to try: The Plaza.

10. Switzerland – Because who doesn’t want to ski the Alps for spring break! Property to try: The Alpina Gstaad.
