Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach

This hotel is the reason I love to see as many hotels as possible.  Given all the choices in town, I would have skipped it and never realized what I was missing.  It is a truly fabulous hotel.

The Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach is on the beach and 20 minutes from downtown.  It is also 20 minutes from the airport. It is quick to get to and opened in October 2014.  The property has 237 rooms including 49 suites.  The hotel rooms are all identical except for two features – king bed vs two doubles or the view.  We had room 557, called the Premier Skyline, which faced the skyline with an amazing view.  The rooms all have balconies.  The rooms are easy to have connect as two rooms side by side have a main entrance that can be closed, with the rooms all having a private entrance then.

The room is 753 SF and has all the standard features of minibar, desk, chair, etc. The bathroom had gorgeous tile and a proper soaking tub.  It has the in mirror TV’s most Four Seasons are featuring and a large walk in shower. The amenities are Etad.

What always makes me really love the Four Seasons is they really pay attention to the little details.  At turn down, they placed a screen cleaner on my lap top.  They also put a postcard by the night stand.  These little touches make a huge impression.  Another point – hands down, without question, they had my most beloved, favorite welcome amenity ever.  The dates, chocolates, and even sugar sculpture were impressive, but what blew me away and had me hugging the staff was the customized necklaces with each of our names in Arabic.

We ordered breakfast for in room dining the night before going to bed.  The menus for it, the spa and other are on a tablet and very easy to use.  Breakfast was divine and even arrived 1 minute early.

The hotel has a “gentleman’s bar” which feature more gin, cigars, etc off the main lobby.  They have a nightclub and a roof top bar with live music and amazing views.  They also have two restaurants.

The grounds include an adult only pool and a “loud” pool, or pool for kids.  The spa I was dying to see, but our dinner ran long and it was closed.  The beach area is not very big but does have lots of seating space including hammocks.  They do have a floating dock to swim out to and play around on. Our one night stay was no where enough for this gorgeous hotel and so far, probably my most favorite Four Seasons of all.

Here is something really fun and cool – they hire a falcon to come in periodically and scare birds away.  Rascal happened to be there and on duty when we were about to leave, so we were able to talk to his handler, pet him, and take some awesome pictures.

This is a really remarkable property.  It is away from the downtown hustle, but still very close.  I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay for much longer.  The rooms are gorgeous, the restaurants top of the line, and all of it is just as one would expect from a luxury Four Seasons property.

One general note on the UAE – smoking indoors is widely accepted and common, especially in bars.
