Waldorf Astoria Park City

The Waldorf Astoria Park City is one of a few Virtuoso properties in this really amazing city.  Utah has so much to offer and has really been discovered as an adventure destination. And Park City is the heart of that adventure.

The property is located a couple miles from Main Street, the center of Park City. It has a gondola it shares exclusively with the Wyndam Residences across the street. The gondola goes to the Canyons Village base.

The property is valet only, which is included in the resort fee.  The Waldorf is a gorgeous property and the beauty starts when you first arrive.  The lobby is grand and impressive with a sweeping staircase, a 300 year old imported mantle for the lobby fire, and a large baccarat chandelier.  The restaurant, Powder, is a Forbes 4 star and located off the main lobby.   It is the same restaurant Virtuoso guests use take breakfast at with their credit.  I loved it – the portions are large, so don’t order too much. I settled in quickly to a routine of oatmeal with pistacios, honey, and berries with a cappuccino.  The kids usually had bacon with French toast or pancakes.  They serve a breadboard with items like banana bread and Danishes complimentary with breakfast that was really tasty.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was perfect for my family.  My (then) 3 year old is not a great sleeper so it was fantastic to be able to get our toddlers to bed and close a door.  The one bedroom suite has a king bedroom with bathroom with a door that separates a living room with full pullout couch, full kitchen, a dining room table, washer/dryer unit, and another full bathroom.  We had two tv’s and two fireplaces with a balcony that could be accessed from two doors.  I really fell in love with this room.  The kitchen is fantastic – it features Viking appliances throughout and we definitely utilized them! Restaurants are not our friend right now, so we would often order food to go and eat more peacefully in out room.   The amenities are Salvatore Ferragamo.

The one bedroom suite can be converted into a two bedroom with two beds in the second bedroom.  Or, if you are a party of 10, there is even a 3 bedroom suite.   I did see a regular room which is the same room that can connect to a suite to make it a two bedroom.

I did a quick tour and was able to see the best of all the suites – the 2 bedroom Waldorf Suite.  The suite is a custom, 2,100 square feet, and features hardwood, artwork, and impressive views.  The master bedroom features a king bed and the second room has two queens.  The ceilings are vaulted and the living area has the most spacious feel.

The property is great for families.  Every night, the main fire pit by the swimming pools have s’mores ingredients set out.  We visited nightly.  The swimming pool is heated to 90 degrees and they have two hot tubs – one adult only.

The exercise room was outfitted well and had very tasty restorative beverage to drink.  They also have classes, but I wasn’t able to attend one.  The spa has a great quiet room with tea and a few magazines.

I really enjoyed our stay at the property. I would revisit during the summer or winter again in a heartbeat and take advantage of the amazing outdoor playground the area offers.

The Waldorf Astoria Park City is a Virtuoso property and through our partnership, I am proud to offer the following amenities: upgrade on arrival, subject to availability; $50 USD breakfast daily; a $100 spa credit; and early check in/late check out, based on availability.
