I stayed a night at the InterContinental London Park Lane, but I was so busy, I didn’t get to fully experience all the property has to offer. Therefore, this will be a mini review and with a taste of The IC Park Lane.
The InterContinental London Park Lane is directly across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane and shares the benefits of being in the same great location near Hyde Park, an underground station around the corner, and walking distance to so many sites such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Piccadilly Circus.
The hotel is larger with 447 rooms and suites. The last renovation was in 2007. Originally opened in 1975, the property sits at the site of Queen Elizabeth’s former childhood residence.
I only saw the room I stayed in, which was a superior room. The room was 22 square meters with a window featuring city views.
The room was quite adequate. My only critique is the room is on the smaller side so if space is important, a higher room category is recommended. The shower was a shower/soaking tub combo, which initially I wasn’t excited about. After a long day walking around, I was really ready for a hot bath to relax. That soaking tub was really fantastic and unexpected surprise.
There is a lot to this property I didn’t experience, which is why I am calling it a mini review. The fitness center, spa and suites are all items I was not able to see due to being busy. One place I did spend time though was the Club InterContinental. I have a confession to make – I LOVE hotel club lounges! Having an area to go, that is quite, with food and beverage, is an incredible value to me. The Club serves breakfast, has a shower room, tea in the afternoon, beverages and snacks throughout the day, and food with alcohol in the evening. It is a great place to take a break – and the views from the Club were fantastic!!
As this is a Virtuoso property, I am proud to offer the following amenities: Upgrade on booking, subject to availability; full English breakfast, for up to two in room guests in the Club InterContinental; complimentary internet access, and complimentary access to the Club InterContinental).
