As part of my mini trip around the world, I visited London! It had been 10 years since my last visit, which was also a quick one like this visit of just 3 nights. Since I was traveling solo, I decided to visit and/or stay at several Virtuoso properties in the city.  First up, the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

This property is so easy to get to.  Having a driver is always convenient, but for this property in particular, the Tube is great too.  It is on the same line as LHR Terminal 5, so no line transfers and about 40 minutes later, a stop at Hyde Park means a 3 minute walk to the front door of the lovely Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

The property has a great location, besides being near the underground, it is a block from Hyde Park, a 10 minute walk to Buckingham Palace, and even the Hard Rock Cafe is around the corner.  There is a tremendous amount to do and see within walking distance or a short black cab ride away.

The Four Seasons Park Lane resides in a transformed 11 story building and completed a major renovation in 2011.  The property features 193 guest rooms including 45 one, two, and three bedroom suites.  I saw three different suites, which I will talk about and show pictures coming up next.  The suites range from 603 sf to 1474 sf with some including features of fire places and even one having a huge, 1615 sf terrace!

The renovation was designed by Pierre -Yves Rochon, an interior designer of Four Season properties including Paris, Florence and Washington D.C.  The ambiance has been described as “classically contemporary” with the intent of blending British sophistication with sleek, modern style. I think it was beautiful and understated.

Rooms start at 376 sf.  I stayed in a Premier room on the 7th floor with a king bed.  I loved the room and would stay in it again.  The bathroom featured a deep soaking tub, walk in shower, a mirror with integrated television, and vanity mirror, surrounded by delicate marble.  The room also had a huge closet.  The room featured brushed silver and walnut cabinetry throughout.

I was on a pretty tight schedule, so I ended up not eating any meals at the property.  I did get to see three other suites though – the Ambassador, Deluxe, and Park.  We will start with the Ambassador Suite at 807 sf.

There are two more areas of this property to be addressed, but was not able to take photos as other guests were present – the fitness center and the spa.  The fitness center is on the 10th floor with great views of the city including Big Ben, the House of Parliament, and the London Eye.

One feature of the Four Seasons chain I have frown to love is the consistency of the spa experience.  The Four Seasons at Park Lane did not disappoint! The spa features services such as massage, facial and body treatments.  My favorite spots are the vitality pools, sauna and steam rooms.

As this is a Virtuoso property, I am proud to offer the following amenities: Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability; continental breakfast, for up to two in room guests; and $100 USD Spa credit, to be utilized during stay).
