I had the pleasure of visiting the Corinthia Hotel London on my trip in London. The Corinthia is just down the river from The Savoy Hotel London and has the same incredible views and location. The property is one of the collection of Corinthia’s, owned by the Pisani family of Malta. Opened in 2011, the property made use of a beautiful, old 1885 built government building to create a 21st Century Grand Hotel.
This property is just off the River Thames and across the street from an Underground stop. It is so easy to get to and such a great place to set up a base for exploration around town. The property has 294 rooms including 43 suites and a whopping 7 penthouses. There are two restaurants, The Northall and the Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar. They also have the Bassoon Bar and the Lobby Lounge, where tea is served in the afternoon and cocktails in the evening.
I was able to view two rooms, an Executive and a Junior Suite. First up, the Executive King. The room category is around 45 square meters and is the 3rd level (Superior, Deluxe, Executive). I loved the feel of the property and the rooms. The rooms have a very tranquil essence and are very luxurious. I absolutely loved the styling. Also, the room amenities are ESPA, which I became a dedicated convert to after my visit to Acqualina. The rooms all felt large and spacious.
The next room I visited was an entry level suite – the Junior Suite. The room ranges in size from 50-65 square meters.
Here is a feature to the property I love: outside every door is a little table. As a female, my hands are always full and digging through my purse is such a pain. The table would be extremely handy when entering the room!!
The Corinthia Hotel London has a fantastic spa. It is huge – it spans 4 floors and hosts 17 treatment rooms, a private spa suite, nail studio, indoor swimming pool, vitality pool, amphitheater sauna, ice fountain, marble heated loungers and private sleep pods. If all the relaxation causes hunger, there is also a spa cafe. The fitness center is open 24 hours.
The last piece to this hotel I want to mention is how family friendly they are – many options exist for connecting rooms for a family to spread out and offer many items for complimentary use upon request (playstation, strollers, baby monitors, etc). Additionally, children are welcomed in with treats of their own from chocolate and orange juice at check in to their own souvenir guidebook.
As this is a Virtuoso property, I am proud to offer the following amenities: Upgrade upon arrival, subject to availability; full breakfast, for up to two in room guests; and 85 GBP hotel credit to be used during your stay.
