I just returned from what turned out to be the most amazing trip ever! I was selected to go to New Zealand on a study tour through Virtuoso. It was a privilege to be selected as 15 spots had 115 applicants. This particular study tour had a reputation of being spectacular and it didn’t disappoint. I cannot wait to share all the details, but do need to finish up my other reviews first.
In the mean time, I wanted to give a glimpse as to life the past two weeks:
-Auckland: I jumped off the Skytower, sailed an America’s Cup sail boat with a surprise whale sighting, and went wine tasting on Waiheke Island
-Rotorua: visited Hobbiton, met the Prime Minister in a chance encounter at the lodge we were staying at, visited a real marae and enjoyed a hangi, and hiked to a waterfall
-Napier/Wellington/Martinborough: more wine tasting, rugby, amazing Te Papa, Weta workshop
-Queenstown: amazing helicopter ride to Milford Sound, visited Arrowtown, watched a friend take the bungy plunge
All that and a whole lot of properties I can’t wait to share with you! The trip was out of this world and I absolutely cannot wait to go back again. If New Zealand isn’t on your must visit list, I cannot encourage you enough to add it and add it fast!
