Growing up in the Midwest, I first got the travel bug while on long road trips to historic sites across the US for family vacations.  After 10 years as a Professional Mechanical Engineer – and spending all my free time doing all things related to travel – I turned my travel obsession into a career and founded Travel By Katie, an affiliate of Great Getaways Travel, a Virtuoso member.  As part of the Virtuoso network, I specialize in luxury travel, providing my clients with exclusive amenities, expert advice, and extraordinary journeys across the globe.
