Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver

The Wedgewood Hotel and Spa is new to Virtuoso and a smaller city hotel at 83 rooms. It is the only Relais & Chateaux in all of Vancouver and is located near Robson Square.  It is neighbors (within a block or two) of the Four Seasons and Rosewood Hotel Georgia. The family property is managed by the founder’s daughter.

The hotel is an Old English/European style throughout with an intimate lobby area. They said it is a site to see at Christmas and is really done up well for the holidays. I found the decor very charming and loving with the paintings throughout wonderful.

The building is 14 floors only with 83 rooms total, 42 of which are suites. Starting May 1, 2017, there will be 3 connecting suites, which are currently under construction.

Only balcony rooms and above have Virtuoso amenities.  Wedgewood is unique with having balconies on rooms – only a few in the city do.  I saw the Deluxe one bedroom suite.  The room is either English Blue or Red Toille fabrics with a a living room that is separated by a proper door. All rooms feature L’Occitane amenities and Nespresso machines. The washrooms had a single vanity, stand alone shower, and washtub.  They have fresh flowers in all washrooms, too.

One thing to note – there are no rooms with two double beds that have Virtuoso amenities offered. If two beds are needed, guests must book a connecting suite.

The Wedgewood Suite is their signature suite which features two washrooms.  The suite is 550 SF and has brown Equestrian themed fabrics.  The star of the Wedewood suite is the washroom with the large jetted soaker tub for two with shutters that open to the bedroom.

The Penthouse Suite was very nice with an outdoor patio and small spa.  There are two penthouse suites which are very similar to the Wedgwood Suite with the main difference is the HUGE patio. It is an amazing space.  The penthouses are really great value. The rates for the penthouses are not that much more than some of the midlevel rooms at other hotels.

The Spa at Wedgewood is small but mighty.  It has been winning many awards and features Epicuren Skin Care.  It also has a Eucalyptus Steam room.  One feature is a gorgeous outdoor garden where guests are to sit before and after treatments, pictured below. The spa is on the same level as the gym.  The gym has a unique feature in which you can walk outside to a little area.

Lastly, I did have a change to have drinks and canapes at the Bacchus Restaurant and Lounge.  The charm, warmth, and atmosphere of this restaurant was fantastic.  I really, really enjoyed our visit and the food and drinks were top notch.  They were a bit too easy to drink!

The Wedgewood Hotel and Spa is a Virtuoso property and through our partnership, I am proud to offer the following amenities: upgrade upon arrival, subject to availability; breakfast daily for two guests; a $100 USD equivalent spa or food and beverage credit; and early check in/late check out, based on availability.
