InterContinental LA Century City

I needed to go to the Beverly Hills area to meet with a client in October.  It was a perfect excuse to check out one of the many Virtuoso hotels in the area. Based on where I needed to be and availability, the IC was a great choice.  I booked the Superior Room, which the hotel will upgrade to an One Bedroom Executive King Suite at booking, based on availability.  When I travel, I am a sucker for suites and space.  It is probably because I am excited to not have the toddlers clinging to me all the time!

The lobby was decorated for the fall and was quite charming.  And a custom in room amenity?  That always warms my heart!

The one bedroom suite is 575 SF and very spacious. I was quite comfortable during my stay.  The layout is a living room with desk, flat screen, L-shaped couch, minibar and walkout balcony.  The bedroom has a king bed, flat screen and a balcony.  The bedroom leads to the closet and onto the bathroom.  The living room also connects to the bathroom, so the layout is one big circle.

The bathroom had a shower, bath tub, toilet and single vanity sink.  The vanity was fine for me, but with more than one person would be tight.  There was a shelf unit with the hair dryer and other amenities on it in a space by the doors. It can be seen int the pictures below.

All in all, my stay was pleasant.  The breakfast buffet was ample. I had cocktails and canapes one evening in the bar and they were fantastic. The welcome amenity was really great – it had medjool dates, which are a favorite AND chocolate.  The staff were nice and accommodating.

The decor was rather sterile.  My door stuck, which I did comment to the staff and they were going to work on it as it is a fire hazard. The thing that drove me the most crazy though is so minor…the minibar.  I like coffee in my room in the morning as I am getting ready and it took me a LONG time to find the container with sugar and creamer.  I knew it had to be there, but it was a black triangle and tucked into the front edge of a black tray and I just didn’t see it.  I would walk away and come back and look and still not see it.  So, not a perfect stay, but all in all, perfectly fine.

The hotel is a nice value for the location. The access is easy and very conveniently located.

The InterContinental Los Angeles Century City is a Virtuoso property and through our partnership, I am proud to offer the following amenities: upgrade upon arrival, subject to availability; breakfast buffet daily for two guests; a $100 USD Food and Beverage credit; and early check in/late check out, based on availability.
