The next to last visit I had in London was the Bulgari Hotel and Residences.  I was quite curious to see this property as is part of a brand originally started making jewelry.  The name is usually seen as Bvlgari, the classical Latin alphabet.  The brand includes not just jewelry and hotels, but watches, fragrances and accessories such as body products.

This property is very unique as a new building in a very old area.  The building originally in its place was in bad shape and was granted permission to be town down.  This gave a blank slate for the designers.  The location is a stone’s throw from the Knightsbridge underground stop, almost across the street from Hyde Park and just down the road from the Royal Albert Hall.  Also nearby is the famous Harrod’s where shoppers can be delighted for hours with endless choices.

The Bulgari Hotel and Residences has just 85 rooms with 23 of those being suites.  Walking into the lobby, one immediately is immersed in the style and detail found throughout the property.  Black marble, Sapele Mahogany, and furnishings and fabrics made just for the hotel are prominent and luxurious.  I was proudly told how the Mahogany is polished 17 times.  The understated luxury of the property is very unique and quiet unlike any other property I have seen. The Bulgari does have residences, which are located above the 6th floor.  One fun thing about the hotel is they have candy in the lobby and little bags to make yourself a treat.

I was able to tour two suites.  I will let the pictures do the talking.  I believe the first one is the presidential suite, but I unfortunately did not note what the second room was.

The spa at the Bulgari Hotel is extremely well done and even won the Best Hotel Spa award through Virtuoso last year.  I had the pleasure of trying a full body massage.  Words do not describe how fantastic it was.  I was still fighting jet lag and had been walking miles a day and was physically tired.  The masseur focused on my legs and it was truly amazing.  The whole spa experience is out of this world.  I had tea prior to the massage and coconut water afterwards. I also stepped into the steam room for a bit, which I have grown to love.  The spa also has a pool and there is a fitness room.  I can’t recommend the spa enough – it really is amazing.

One more piece I want to mention is the Bulgari London has its own theater!!

The property has movies to watch and will host special events, like watching the World Cup or event the Oscars.  It has a bar right outside the door and the venue can be rented for birthdays and other events.

I had a great visit to this property.  It is a very unique property.

As this is a Virtuoso property, I am proud to offer the following amenities: Upgrade upon arrival, subject to availability; continental breakfast, for up to two in room guests;  and $100 spa credit to be used during your stay.
